Today we all decided we needed to really get down and study so we went to a cafe in Xin Tian Di and just stayed there for about 5 hours. I was the only one who bought anything though. I just got a orange/vanilla ice slushy like drink. I wanted their green tea one but apparently they were out. I’ve probably got like 100 characters/words to memorize at this point and have barely made a dent though. We’re going to Suzhou this weekend too so no chance of studying then haha.
Xin Tian Di doesn’t even feel like its part of China. It’s so touristy and clean lol. The toilets have toilet paper and they even got hand soap in the bathrooms! The one guy in our group from CEA says its like New York city and full of white people lol. I guess it was a pretty accurate description. I wouldn’t do any shopping though since you can get way better bargains elsewhere.
Some lady tried to steal our taxi when we were heading back today but the driver was nice and completely drove past her lol. He said he saw us wave to him first so he passed her up. Isn’t that nice? 🙂
