Everyone Seems Tired Out

Not sure why but all of us girls from the US seemed pretty tired out today. Well me and Anna stayed up for awhile talking about religion and politics and stuff but the others seemed pretty worn out as well. Pretty sure all of us took a nap after class lol.

The morning teacher has started calling on me more in class now but still doesn’t know my name so today I just told her it because if she’s going to refer to me, I rather not be called “____’s friend” or “the girl next to ____”. I mean sheesh, just ask me my name if you don’t know it.

At 2 we had this, “Talk with Chinese Students” activity, only it was more of “Let’s play games then watch a corny video after” activity. Seriously it was like gym on a rainy day in middle school or something. The first game was a Chinese version of that game where you balance an egg on a spoon and race with it. Only here two people keep a pingpong ball from dropping by holding it between two paddles. Then they did another game where you try to drop chopsticks into empty beer bottles. After that they showed this really corny video about the origins of Chinese characters. It was about this father telling a story to this little “boy”. I’m pretty sure the voice for the “boy” was a girl doing a high pitch voice and it started to weird me out after awhile. I would have liked the video better if there was just nice music in the background instead of any dialog lol. After the video the lady started doing a small lecture reiterating what the video said and I didn’t really pay attention and started dozing off instead.

I admit I was a little disappointed because I kind of wanted to meet some of the actual students here. But there was no talking with anyone really lol.

After dinner I wanted to shower but my towel is still not dried from when I washed it. I didn’t want to feel all gross the next though so I just air dried-ish. I just know my hair is going to take forever to dry now though. I really should have showered earlier in the day.
